AP style reminder
Don't forget AP's easily forgettable rule on congressional districts:
Use figures and capitalize district when joined with a figure: the 1st Congressional District, the 1st District.Yep, that's 1st Congressional District, not District 1 or Congressional District No. 1 or anything else.

Hello,
Which would be accurate, with AP Style, "capital" or "capitol" as used in the following phrase:
Detroit became a national amateur sports capitol.
OR
Detroit became a national amateur sports capital.
