Time for another laugh
That last copy editor cartoon was so popular that I'll offer another, though I don't enjoy this one as much.

I suppose it's better than "Why, we're the last line of defense!" But not much.
A copy-editing blog covering grammar and newspapers like they're going out of style.

I'm not a copy editor but even as a writer I can't put away that mental blue pencil. My favourite days are when I spot a mistake in the Economist. It happens so infrequently that I buy myself a big lunch when it does!
I'm interested in what you would say now to the same question at a job interview?
Whaaaat? We're not supposed to say that?
It may take some work to comment about that in an interview today. At one of my interviews, we spent most of the time talking about hairline rules and which ones look the best.
