Good for a laugh

A comic for copy editors (Thanks, Michael!)

  1. As I write to people in follow-up e-mails after leaving a particularly bad voicemail: Great writers, and editors, aren't necessarily great talkers.

  2. Wish I'd been able to do a frame grab on a "Simpsons" rerun. Bart and Lisa show up at semi-lawyer Lionel Hutz's office and ask about whether he'll take their case.

"Your ad says, "Works on contingency; no money down."

Hutz takes the ad, scribbles on it and says "they" got it all wrong. It should be:

    Works on contingency?
    No, money down!

  3. Haven't seen that one. Pretty good. It's very "Woman: Without her, man is nothing."

Just stumbled across your blog, Nicole. Bless you, my dear, bless you!
